Parameter: diff_mods_on_xl

Overview

Searching for differential modifications is known to increase search times exponentially. This increase in computation can be exacerbated when searching for differential modifications on cross-linked peptides. Such computation can be avoided if is is known that the cross-linked peptides should not have differential modifications. In these cases, this setting can be turned off.
